Beacon Neuropsychology is proud to offer adult (18+) neuropsychological evaluations for a variety of conditions.

We understand that many people have concerns about their memory, attention, or other thinking abilities, or they may be concerned about a family member or loved one who is experiencing these difficulties. We aim to provide hope and answers when our clients come to us for guidance in navigating challenging times in their lives, especially with regard to memory, attention, and other thinking skills.

Our assessments are designed to understand each unique person's background and life situation, and we will create an individualized evaluation to address your specific concerns.

Karen Hanson Bondi, Ph.D.

Clinical Neuropsychologist

Dr. Karen Hanson Bondi (Lic. # CA-PSY 23561) earned her graduate degree in clinical psychology at the University of Minnesota Department of Psychology in 2006. She completed her clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) and the VA San Diego Healthcare System, and she has been licensed in the State of California since 2010. She served for over 15 years as a faculty member in the UCSD Department of Psychiatry and the San Diego VA in clinical, teaching, and research roles. She continues to provide lectures for neuropsychology and psychiatry trainees at the San Diego VA and UCSD.

Mark W. Bondi, Ph.D., ABPP-CN

Clinical Neuropsychologist

Dr. Mark Bondi (Lic. # CA-PSY 13383) was awarded his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona in 1991. He completed his internship and postdoctoral residency training in clinical psychology and neuropsychology at UC San Diego and the VA San Diego Healthcare System, and in 1994 began his 30-year career as a staff neuropsychologist at the VA and faculty member at UC San Diego. He has been a licensed psychologist in the state of California since 1993, and he earned national board certification from the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology in 1999. Dr. Bondi directed the San Diego VA's Neuropsychological Assessment Unit for approximately 10 years, and in 2023 became a Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry at UC San Diego.
